Proton EventWeek brought students together for the first time this year through a series of educational and fun events held from March 23 to April 2. Over ten days we organized 10 activities with the goal of giving students the opportunity to gain new knowledge, try out different fields of technology and spend time in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The EventWeek program included workshops and lectures across various fields, including Game Development, Cybersecurity, Hugo, Git, Fullstack Python and CubeSat satellites. Through hands-on work and conversations with the speakers, participants had the chance to learn more about technologies and topics that are often not covered in detail through regular coursework.
In addition to the educational part, EventWeek also included fun activities such as a Pub quiz, a Nostalgia quiz and a board games evening, which allowed students to meet, socialize and connect with people who share similar interests.
We are especially glad that the turnout was exceptionally high and that throughout the whole event we had the opportunity to meet many new people and build an even stronger community at the faculty. EventWeek was a big step for us and our first project of this scale, and the experience we gained further motivated us to organize even more content for students in the coming years.
Thank you to all the speakers, participants and everyone who helped make the event happen and made Proton EventWeek possible. See you next year!
